Heirloom Gardening Class – April 17th

Are you ready for a field trip? The Montana Heritage Commission (MHC) is holding a Heirloom Gardening Workshop in Virginia City, MT at the Rehearsal Hall, 116 W. Idaho Street, on Saturday, April 17th from 1-2:30 pm.

We will learn about open pollinated heirloom herbs and vegetables and the history of some popular varieties. We will also learn how to make recycled paper pots and then sow seeds in them.

The registration fee is $15 per person and includes materials. If you want to go with the Garden Club, please let me know by clicking on the “About Gardening Club” tab and submitting your name, contact information and if you want to drive or ride. We will meet at the Montana City Gas Station at 10 am, stop in Ennis for lunch and then head to class. The deadline to sign up to go with the club is Sunday, April 11th. If you want to go on your own, contact MHC directly at 406-843-5247 by April 13th.
