April Meeting this Saturday the 9th at 10:30 am

Got Spring Fever?  Join us for a dose of spring.  This Saturday in the Hunter’s Pointe Activity Room starting at 10:30 we will be talking about Ikebana (Living Flowers in Japanese) flower arrangements.   If you want to try your hand at putting together an arrangement, bring a frog (pin holder), a few flowers, greenery and a shallow container.  For those members who took home basil at the last meeting, bring your container for show and tell and share your successes or failures.  The program and demonstration will be followed by our monthly meeting.  Our main focus will be to discuss the May 14th 60th year celebration at ExplorationWorks and elect new officers.  If you have old cookie sheets, empty 2 liter bottles, bins (12x20x14 tall or similar size), coconut liner or shredded cardboard, bring them to the meeting.  This items will be used at the celebration for the Do It Yourself (DIY) projects.  We will also select the Helena Gardener of the Year.  If you haven’t submitted your nomination yet, please bring it to the meeting.  After the meeting we will head to the Overland Express for lunch.  Visitors are welcome.
