Today is Earth Day

This year’s Earth Day theme is A Billion Acts of Green.  The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is celebrating the anniversary of their “Green Team” on Earth Day with ecducational booths to increase employee awarenes of ways to go “green”.  Tizer Gardens has donated 3 Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens) on behalf of the Helena Garden Club to the event. Thank you Tizer Gardens for your generosity.

What can you do to celebrate Earth Day today?  Well you can have a picnic – http://earthday.nature.org/ but it is a bit cold here yet for that sort of thing so here are a few more ideas for you – http://earthday.nature.org/five-things/ and http://www.earthday.org/earth-day-2011.   What are you doing to celebrate Earth Day?
