Beginning Gardening and Farming Class starting Feb 18th at UofM Tech in Helena

Richard Thieltges, garden construction manager of the Growing Community Project, will be teaching a series of gardening classes this spring at U of M College of Technology here in Helena. The course is called Beginning Gardening and Farming. It will start Saturday, February 18 and continue through April 7 (six Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 am). Some of the topics covered will be starting and managing gardens, building raised beds, storage requirements of produce, managing garden soil, seed storage and ordering and introduction to market gardening strategies.
