Learn How to Landscape with Native Plants

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will offer a free native plant gardening class with Helena Garden Club Member, Sue Leferink on Sept. 5 at Montana Wild.
The Helena Garden Club designed and oversaw the construction of Montana Wild’s 250-square-foot native plant garden that contains more than 100 native plant species. The garden was recently certified as wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. The native plant garden will be showcased during the class.

Participants will learn how to plan, prepare and select plants for a native garden. Leferink also will discuss how to successfully install and maintain a native plant garden.

The one-hour class will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Montana Wild’s Education Center, 2668 Broadwater Ave, next to Spring Meadow Lake State Park off Highway 12 West. For more information and to register call 406-444-9944.
